What is IV nutrient therapy?

Intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy is an effective method of delivering and absorbing key nutrients via your veins. Because these nutrients are injected, we are bypassing the gastrointestinal system, so nutrients are 100% absorbed by the bloodstream, where they can be immediately utilised.

Does it hurt getting an IV?

We use a topical numbing cream so you should not feel anything. The temporary discomfort from placing the IV in is far outweighed by the benefits you will see with IV nutrient therapy. We have a trained registered nurse administering the IV, so you will be well looked after.

Is it safe?

IV nutrient therapy is perfectly safe as it is mostly vitamins and minerals mixed in a specially formulated dosage to give your body what it needs. We utilise the services of a doctor to put together the recipes for each treatment option.

What if I am pregnant?

We do not recommend IV nutrient therapy for pregnant women as a precaution. While IV treatment is safe, pregnancies can produce a myriad of hormonal and chemical changes in the body which could cause an unintended reaction.

What goes into my IV nutrient therapy?

Each drip contains a variation of vitamins, minerals & amino acids. Some of the ingredients we use are: Vitamin B12, Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Magnesium and Glutathione, Amino Acids, Thiamine. Additional ingredients like glucose are added when needed

Who will provide the IV nutrient therapy?

IV Fusion is run within the confines of a medical practice and we make use of their quality nurses. We also utilise a doctor who assists when needed.

What are your facilities like?

Our facility offers a relaxed environment catering for the discerning clientele. The treatment room is private. The room caters for 2 so you can be joined by a friend or your significant other.

How long do the effects last?

Everybody is different, so depending on your current health you could experience noticeable effects for up to 3-4 days after your treatment. Even if you do not “feel” effects immediately or over the next few days, you are still reaping the benefits.

Couldn't I just take vitamins instead?

When taken orally, only a fraction (20-40% or less) of the essential nutrients are absorbed due to a variety of factors: unhealthy diet, insufficient essential nutrients, widespread prevalence of gastrointestinal problems, chronic illness and more. With IV nutrient therapy, 100% of the nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream, where they can immediately be used by your body.

How many sessions does it take until I see results from IV nutrient therapy?

Benefits can be seen after the first session, and with regular treatments, safe and lasting effects can be achieved

How often can I get treatment?

Depending on the treatment it can be as often as a few times a week or once every few months. Nutritional demands and wellness are different for everyone. We will go through the options with you to find a plan that works best for your specific requirements.

Is this safe for children?

While IV nutrient therapies are safe for kids, our drip blends are designed for teenagers and adults. In specific circumstances, our physician can consult with your paediatrician and design a protocol designed to target a specific condition.

Can you create specific treatment based on my individual needs?

Yes! We invite you to consult with our physician to create an IV nutrient plan based on your concerns and needs.

What ailments are addressed by IV nutrient therapy?

There is a treatment for nearly any condition, and we recommend it for overall wellbeing. IV nutrient therapy supports:

  • Anti-aging
  • Allergies/asthma
  • Athletic performance
  • Chronic fatigue and brain fog
  • Detoxification
  • Energy improvement
  • Hangovers
  • Headaches and migraine

  • Longevity
Can I receive IV nutrient therapy while taking other medications?

There are a very few medications that can interact with IV nutrient therapy. Our registered nurse will conduct a thorough client history to ensure the treatment you want is safe and will not interact with your current medication regimen.
